Treatment

Our Treatments and Services

We provide advice and treatment for all common foot health problems.

Professional pedicure with electric drill

Corns & Calluses

Hard layers of skin that develop due to excessive pressure and friction causing discomfort and pain.

Removal of the corn or hard skin and finding its cause will help keep you active and more comfortable. We can also offer advice on how to prevent or minimise the reoccurrence and pain.

Fungal Nail Infections

Fungal nail infections are very common and highly contagious. Your nails may become thickened, discoloured and brittle. It is important to treat fungal nail at the first signs of infection and be consistent and diligent in any treatment to eradicate the fungus.

Nail Trimming

Nail trimming and filing is offered as part of your appointment.

Athlete's Foot

A fungal infection which can develop on anyone and usually causes rash. The area of skin affected may also be red, itchy, dry or blistered. Athlete's foot is contagious and should be treated effectively to stop further spreading.

Cracked Heels

Cracked heels are caused by cracking or splitting of the skin. This splitting may be due to dryness or thickening of the skin that cracks and breaks under pressure.

Maintaining and treating cracked dry heels is easily achieved.

Diabetic Foot Care

It's especially important to look after your feet if you have diabetes. We are fully trained in looking after the needs of the diabetic and high risk foot. Regular foot care from a Foot Health Practitioner can help prevent further complications from long term health conditions such as diabetes, heart disease, circulatory and other neuropathic diseases.

Ingrown Toe Nails

Ingrown toe nails often occur on the big toe and develop when the nail grows into and pierces the surrounding skin causing redness, swelling and severe pain. Early treatment is key and will prevent serious infection and possible surgery.

Verrucas

Verrucas develop on the soles of the feet.  They are white, often with a black dot in the centre.  They tend to be flat rather than raised. Appropriate treatments will need to be discussed during the appointment.  There may be the need for regular appointments until the verruca/s have cleared up.  A usual time scale is 6 weeks.
